Well we are pleased to announce that we have been choosen as one of the 4 bands
in the Michigan area to play on the Ernie Ball stage for the Detroit Warped

This years tour stops at the Pontiac Silver Dome parking lot on July 31st. The

four bands to play that day (if we understand that correctly). So be sure to
check the set times early so that you don't miss us. Thanks agian to everyone
that supported us in this effort!
May 16th, 2005 | We need Your Support!
We're trying to get a spot on the Ernie Ball stage of Warped Tour this summer,
but we need your help. Go to:
battleofthebands.com/ettisonclio
and play our song "Mexico City" from beginning to end and if enough
people do it, we might just have shot at making that stage. Just an FYI, you
only get one play, per computer, per day. So don't waste your time playing it
10 times, tell your friends! Thanks guys, it means a lot.
May 1st, 2005 | Itunes/Napster Here We Come
Finding our music online is about to get a whole lot easier. In the next few weeks
you'll be able to purchase, sample and download our new CD, "This Is For
The Blue Collars" on itunes.com, napster.com, emusic.com, Wal-Mart (Liquid
Audio), Music Net/AOL, FYE, and several handfulls of other online music distributors.
This is especially awesome for those of you that like drinking Pepsi. You'll
be able to download our music for free with instant win games and itunes. Much
thanks to Forever Inside Records and their work in getting our music in the
right hands.
Also, for those of you that don't trust us with buying our CD or don't have
Paypal, we'll be adding Downloadpunk.com to our list of online distributors
in the next couple of weeks.
Lastly, today we have officially started promotion of our spring tour through

near your town, please help and come support us! It has been too long... :)
April 26th, 2005 | Home Town Show
Just a quick one. We're playing in our old home town, Lansing, Michigan on Thursday.
It should be some mighty good times. If you were at our last show at Mac's..
well then, you know. We're also thinking about getting a dance competition going
during one of the songs.. maybe some free drinks.. hmm. For details go to our
shows page. Hopefully we see a few of you late comers out there.
April 20th, 2005 | New Recording Update | Tour
Well,
we just got done recording our 2 new songs that will debut on The Beautiful
Mistake split. We're happy to report that the tracks came out exactly the way
we wanted them to. We couldn't be happier. Our love definitely goes out to Tim
Bushong, his family, and Lucka (pictured left) for the great experience. We
don't have a definite release date for the album yet but it will probably be
by the end of summer. Stay tuned, this release is going to be pissed.
If you check out our shows page, you'll see we have almost finished booking
our tour with Cue The Doves. We're FINALLY getting down to Florida as we know
we have had a lot of requests for that. Once this tour is done, we'll have pretty
much covered all the 48 continental United States. Crazy stuff, eh? Hopefully
we'll see you guys out at one of the shows especially with the gas prices these
days.
March 31st, 2005 | LSF/Weakend Tour Cancelled
Our tour with Long Since Forgotten and The Weakend has been officially cancelled
due to logistical issues. Sorry to those of you looking forward to the upcoming
shows. We promise we'll make it out to those areas before the end of the summer.

February 11th, 2005 | Detroit Music Video
First of all we want to thank everybody that came out to the Mac's Bar show in
East Lansing last night. You guys sold that place out, and you made it so much
fun to play for us. We've never had a turn out like that in that venue, so thanks!
Also, thanks to all the dancers.. holy cow we had some movement.. haha.
Sunday, the 13th, we're playing a show in Detroit at the Shelter with Brandston.
It's gonna be a great show and as a bonus, we'll be shooting a live music video
at the event. So if you're coming, bring your rocking shoes, because we're going
to blow that place up. Oh yea, don't forget to look hot, too. ;)

road with Rocketstar Records, Long Since Forgotten and The Weakend. Stay tuned
for details. Also, the code for ordering 'Fragile Simplistic' has now been fixed.
We're not sure how it got messed up, but if you had a problem before, that should
be solved.. in theory.
January 25th, 2005 | Tour, London, & New Tshirts
Well thanks to all of you who came out to our shows on tour. The shows were awesome!
Our apologies to Kalamazoo and West Dundundee folks. Nehemiah's van wheel broke
the day we left the state and the other night, we got a foot of snow resulting
in some horrible road conditions. We decided we just couldn't risk trying to get
to the show.
In other news, our new album will be hitting the London airwaves for the first
time! Skywave Radio, an internet broadcast radio which reaches listeners all over
the world. The show we'll be on is called "The Magazine" which is hosted
by producer Richard Allen, probably one of the nicest guys in England we have
ever spoken to. To tune in, go to:
www.skywaveradio.com
on wednesday 6 to 7pm UK time and re-broadcast midnight to 1am same day. There
is a 5+ hour time difference for Eastern Standard Time, so do some calculations
and you should find it through itunes, real player, or windows media player. So
check it out! This is a TOP NOTCH program.
We just posted our new tshirts on the retail site, so check'em out. Also, we're
almost sold out of "Fragile Simplistic" E.P.'s. This will be the last
chance to get one before they are slightly redesigned. Go
here
to find out more.
January 4th, 2005
NEWWWW shows posted everybody. We'll be in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota, very very soon. Hope you can come out to a show! By the way, Stephanie wanted to let everyone know that she has never played a single game of Scrabble. Frickin' weirdo... HAPPY NEW YEAR!
December 11th, 2004
THE WINNER OF THE IPOD IS!!!! (insert big drum roll here): Masafumi Kurata of
Tokyo, Japan. CONGRATULATIONS!!! You will be contacted through email to work out
the details of shipping your new 20GB ipod. Thank you to everyone who pre-ordered
the new CD. We really couldn't do this without you. Hopefully you have all received
it in the mail now and enjoy it!
In other news, our drummer John, is now officially endorsed by Truth Drums. Definitely
if you're a drummer and looking into getting some customized gear made, this is
THE place to go to. Many great drummers from Mike Marsh of Dashboard Confessional,
to Tucker Rule of Thursday, to Yuri Ruley of Mxpx, use and have used their gear.
We're very proud of him and very proud to be listed with so many other great artists.
If you want to check them out, go to:
truthdrums.com
annddd if you're in the Southern California area, they'll have a booth at a percussion
conference.. stay tuned for details.
Last but not least, OFFICIAL PHOTOS from our St. Andrew's Hall release are now
on
soapstonelion.com.
You can order prints from 5x7 to 40x40, put them on mouse pads, coasters, mugs,
and a few other things. They're super high quality stuff, so if you think you
might want some Ettison Clio merchandise that most other people don't have, you
now can get them, directly through them. To check out their web site and definitely
order some prints if you like something. Additional photos from the release are
at:
dwighthates.tv and
if you search around the internet, there were some other people taking pictures
at the event. So check'em out!
December 8th, 2004
Hey, everybody! Well if you were at one of the CD release parties, you know, that
both shows went off without a hitch and were a complete success. On Friday and
Saturday we played to over a combined 1,000 people! Thank you so much to everyone
that helped in putting the releases together, and everyone who came out to support
us in the release of our new album! We have lot's of new so let's get to it.
Our string department got an endorsement with Curt Mangan, Fusion Matched, guitar
& bass strings. The new company was founded by some former directors of Ernie
Ball and is now endorsed by many well known alternative and indie groups. Check
them out online at:
curtmangan.com
and expect to see their strings on your local music store shelves very soon.
A lot of people have been asking about who won the ipod. Well we haven't done
the drawing yet. The official announcement well be made this coming Saturday (Dec
11th). The reason for this is that we had to allow time for orders through the
mail to come in. Keep it checking back for updates and to see if you were the
winner!
Last but not least, we wanted to thank all the bands who played with us this past
weekend. A extra special thanks to Transition, Long Since Forgotten, and The Phoenix
Rising for making the long drives just for the single show. Eveyone if you get
a chance, check out their web sites and let us know what you think about them
on our forum.
Keep checking back for updates and remember, a brand new web site is coming January,
so stay tuned!

Things are going well at the Clio HQ and hopefully everyone is enjoying the new
tracks we've been putting on purevolume and myspace! Thanks SO MUCH to our street
team, friends, and anyone who took time to help get the word out and played
the tracks. We hit #3 on the top artists of the day for purevolume last week,
and this week we hit #5. That's 9,300 plays on the 15th and 7,400 plays on the
23rd! Unbelievable! Thank you so much for all your help.
We just finished our mail-order form for those of you who don't want to pay
via Paypal. It's pretty nice because you can type what you want right on it,
and it will automatically calculate your shipping, sales tax, etc, followed
by giving you a grand total. You then just type in your name and address and
print it off your computer to send to us with cash or check. Make sure you get
those in soon! Orders must be post marked by December 3rd to be entered into
the IPOD drawing. So you best do it as soon as possible as to not miss out.
To get more info,
Other things. The picture section is finally up. Ticket and line-up information
is all up, too. You can
purchase tickets for the Saint
Andrews show via Ticketmaster, or also use our mail-order system. $8 is the
price (Doing mail order will save you a few bucks). Get those in ASAP as well.
We have a hell-of-a-line up for that and the East Lansing show. We hope everyone
can come out and represent. Stay tuned, track three on
purevolume
will go up Monday, November 29th! Be sure to check it out and let us know what
you think.
November 15th, 2004
Welcome to the new temporary home of ettisonclio.com. We are currently building
our brand new web site with music, images, and all types of eye candy. In the
meantime, here is a little som-in som-in to help you along. So with this update we have,
a new track on purevolume and myspace.com. We have new pictures, artwork, and
some promotional items such as buddy icons and backgrounds for your computer.
We could really use all the help we can get for this release.
September 20th, 2004
Updated a few shows, take a look. Also, we are slowing wayyyy down on shows until our cd release party which is looking to be in early to mid November. We want to take a slight breather to practice up and get all of our brand new songs tight for the cd release.
September 13th, 2004
Yea so, Our show
tonight with Liars Academy & Big Collapse has been cancelled...So
please do not head out to Club Eko, maybe we should all get a sweet game
of stratego going instead? or maybe chutes and ladders...
August 25th, 2004
The recording process
went very well, we put in 14 straight days, at about 11 to 15 hours per
day. I think we killed Jeremy, hahaha. He was great to work with and worked
very hard, and as a matter of a fact he is still in Miami mixing the damn
record so he for sure put in some time, and we love him for it! Plus thank
you to Chip, Joe, Fred and everyone else at
the
Dungeon for all of their time, hard work, generosity and ears during
the process.
We are expecting to
get the rough mixes early next week, we cant wait. As for Final product
(mixed, mastered) we expect it by the end of September. As for a release
date, we are expecting to release late October. Along with the Full Length
we will have an entire brand new line of merch to go along with the release...Also,
we will beginning the pre-order on the cd very soon. Oh yea, a shout-out
to hurricane charley for missing us, we were shitting our pants watching
it about to hit us. luckily it changed course last minute and did not
hit us in Miami.
August 19th, 2004
We have a bit of
bad news to report today. A great friend of ours, Kasey R. Callison, from
the group Stamp'd and Evasic, passed away on August 15th in a car accident.
Please keep his friends and family in your prayers during this tragic
time. If you need more information about the funeral and benefit shows
which we will be working to play go to:
stampd.com
Thanks so much, everyone.

hard writing and preparing to record our first full length. We are planning
to start recording in the beginning of August. The Album which is titled
"This is for the Blue Collars" will be out Fall 04 and we are
planning to tour soon thereafter in promotion for the Album.
April 26th, 2004
SHOW
CANCELLATION
Bad news, our friends
in Man Alive are still stuck in Pennsylvania with van troubles, and are
unable to make the drive to the show tonight at Headliners in Toledo,
Oh. When the promoter found out that Man Alive would not be able to make
it he cancelled the whole show. So if you really want to see Clio and
Man Alive, we are playing thursday in Ann Arbor, Mi at the Olde Heidelberg.
Once again sorry about the cancellation it was out of our hands.
April 6th, 2004
A reminder!
Our best friends
The Beautiful Mistake have released their new record "This Is
Who You Are" today on The Militia Group. Without question it fucking

for the best record of the year. Then go to the show at the Shelter in
Detroit April 14th to see Them, Us, Anatomy of a Ghost, Emery, and The
AKA's.
March 30th, 2004
Major show updates
boys and girls, check it. For sure it has a few shows that you should
go to.
P.S. Thanks to the
crazy old veteran that grabbed Brian's arm and screamed that we had to
unplug during our set back a few days back at the legion hall in Utica,MI.
We felt like we were in the 50's trying to fight to play some rock and
roll. Im sure we were called whippersnappers or something of the sorts
a few dozen times....(show went over time they rented said hall for) We
held out for a few more songs until the crazed ol boy took center stage
and started screaming at us in the middle of a song. We couldnt fight
him, we had to let him win that one.
March 11th, 2004

Congrats to Jp's
mom Susan & Bob as they officially start their new life together in
marriage! Congratulations!
Also, there has unfortunately
been a few flyers being printed for a show in Saginaw, Mi on Jan 24 with
our name on it. It was a minor misprint, as we will be in New York on
that date...but, never the less still go out and support all the great
bands playing!
December 30th, 2003
We added some new
shows, check em out. We're super excited for our headlining Shelter show
January 7th. You can get tickets at www.cc.com or at the door, however
the Detroit Fire Dept. brought the Shelter's capacity
down even more, so if you really want to go, we suggest buying tickets
ahead of time. Also if anyone has any good leads for practice spaces in
Michigan or you have a basement we can steal, we'd love you forever. We
practice in a mini-storage facility with no heat. It sucks. Also, we put
up a new interview from the
Alternative
Twist. check it out, then go and check out the site!
December 8th, 2003
Our
show scheduled for Saturday, December 13th with Billy Talent and Spitalfield
has sold out. Please do not attempt to buy tickets from the box office.
If you are still interested in seeing us in the Detroit area, please come
January 7th to the Shelter where we will be headlining our first Clearchannel
event. To pre-order tickets, log on to
ticketmaster.com.
Also see our other dates via the 'tour' link to the left of this text.
November 8th, 2003
Lets say you wanted
a CD, but you don't want to wait until December to get it? You can now
get it at
www.themilitiagroup.com.
Just click on mailorder and then under the music category click 'friends'
and you'll see 'Fragile Simplistic' there. Clicky click. Word.
October 27th, 2003
We have had some
show movements/cancellations, so keep checking back on the tour page for
up-to-date info. We don't always have an opportunity to update the site,
but we will as much as possible as we get more information. Thanks so
much for all the support on tour everyone. It means the world and makes
for much less 'hard-times.' With love from Minnesota, EC.
October 6th, 2003
If any of you live
in or around the Kalamazoo, Mi area, we will be doing a live interview
along with a few acoustic songs on Nick and Noelle's morning show on
WKFR
103.3fm at 9am tomorrow 10/7. So, if you live in the area be sure to tune

September 25th, 2003
We
have a new forum added to our links section. Check it out. You don't need
to register to post. We're still working our heads off getting ready for
tour. It is not as easy as you might think to book a two month tour with
no support. Can't wait to get out of COLD Michigan though...
September 22nd, 2003
The fall tour is
posted in the shows section! Keep in mind the tour is not completely booked.
The shows page will be updated daily as more confirmations come. We are
excited to be back on the road, and excited to meet some new people, see
you all soon.
September 8th, 2003
Hey everyone, it
is that time again. We are going back out on tour! We leave on the first
leg October 13th with our good friends
Long

out for the second leg, which we will be on until December 3rd, when we
return back in Michigan. We will keep everyone posted with the news. Arent
you excited? We are.
August 8th, 2003
Hey, attention to
anyone planning on coming out to a show in the next couple weeks: PLEASE
CHECK THE SHOWS PAGE. We've had a series of show cancellations due to
a promoter quiting in Illinois, a venue closing, and we cancelled our
shows next weekend because of personal reasons. Sorry to anyone planning
on coming or to anyone who shows up and we're not there. None the less,
you should go to Flint and check out Dirt Fest. There is an amazing line
up of bands and it's going to be one of Kid Brother Collectives last shows.
Those guys are unbelievable musicians, and great people who have helped
us out in more ways then we can count. It would be awesome if you went
and supported them one last time.
Also check back in
the next few weeks for some tour dates in October and November. It looks
like we might be hitting up a good number of states in the east and extensive
dates out west.
yea boyd.

June 3 through Friday June 6, lead singer Stephanie Gunther traveled to
Eudora, Kansas to record with longtime Red House (now referred to as "The
Black Lodge") producer / engineer Ed Rose. She was invited to sing
by the band and good friends, Long Since Forgotten. They are currently
finishing work on their newest release under Rocketstar Records, "Standing
Room Only," which is due out early this fall. Stephanie sang on two
of the band's tracks. The first song features Stephanie soloing on a verse
and then harmonizing with LSF's lead vocalist Josh Coy on a bridge. The
second track she is featured on is entitled "Euclid Crashed Today"
and includes both Stephanie and Josh blending harmonies between the verses
and chorus. "It truly was an amazing experience," Stephanie
said after returning from her trip. "Long Since Forgotten is such
a talented band, and Ed Rose was very helpful and fun to work with. He's
got an outstanding musical ear, and the new recording is sure to turn
some heads". While in Eudora, LSF's members and Stephanie stayed
in the apartment above the studio, a cozy spot set aside for bands who
come to the Black Lodge to record. "It was really cool to be staying
right where they were recording, it definitely kept the band focused,
and we were lucky enough to partake in some visits by members of The Get
Up Kids and Hot Rod Circuit. The Get Up Kids are co-owners of the studio
so they stopped by often, practicing for tour, working on side project
material, or simply just to hang out. They were all really nice people."
Sorry Steph, what are ya, hanging out with the Get Up Kids, having a hot
dog or two?
Keep
your eyes peeled for more information on Long Since Forgotten's new release,
and once it hits stores this fall be sure to help out our friends and
pick up a copy!

Hey all, Sorry for
the lack of updates recently... we have been extremely busy writing new
material between all the shows we have had. Within the next 2 days I will
make a few changes here on our site. First of all is the changing of the
25 random images that appear on the bottom of the site. If anyone has any
photos (of anything...landscapes, buildings, etc.)that want to be used,
email them to
brian@ettisonclio.com
Secondly we will make our newest recording "The credit card debt"
able to be streamed via quicktime... We have some seriously huge shows coming
up and we hope to see all you guys out at them!
April 28th, 2003
A brand new song
from our recently recorded "credit card debt" ep is now available

We got the final mix
of our new demo that we did over springbreak and we are super pleased
with the results. Yeah, while our friends were partying in tropical environments
we were in a basement in Jersey. Makes sense. We
are going to post a new MP3 on mp3.com as soon as we can. Also in clio
land we are in the process of updating the profiles and giving you a more
in depth look at us band members (for better or for worse). Roop and cups
also loaded some new pictures onto the "live" photo's section
so be sure to check those out too. Last but not least our STREET TEAM
page is up and running. Be sure to sign up and get all sorts of cool perks,
merch discounts, free stuff, and that warm fuzzy feeling inside of helping
us out. Alright, I'm out- I gotta go get my rig, fill it with a bunch
of heavy noise-making equipment and drive across the state.
March 24th, 2003
So
there are two places on earth which Michigan is going to have a tough
time reproducing. Those places are In 'n Out of the west coast, and now
Hot Dog Hut of Jersey. The 'Belly-buster' hot dog.. are you serious? Well
the recording went better than expected. We are anxiously awaiting the
final mix/master. One of the songs 'Still Everything,' features the famous
'emo dog' Daisy. She can be heard also at the end of the new Further Seems
Forever album, which we do recommand you get your hands on ASAP! As of
now, we don't have any plans of putting the three songs into print, but

the merchandise page is now fully ready for ordering. Hope everyone has
been getting their orders undamaged. We'll keep you posted and an email
